FoodZo - A Food Tracking app

FoodZo is a food delivery app to allow users to alter the delivery address and increase the product quantity post order placement. We noticed that our competitors doesn’t offer the option to change the delivery address or quantity and this in return can improve the productivity of the tool. By giving the flexibility to the users to change the order details will help us to reach maximum users and satisfy their need to change the order information.

Usability Study

I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.

Round 1

  • Users want to search by category

  • Users want delete icon in the cart

  • User wants more accurate tracking results

Round 2

  • Too many unnecessary clicks in pages

  • Home Page navigation has issues

Take Aways

While designing the FoodZo app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.

Conclusion & Next Step

Conduct another round of usability studies to validate whether the pain points users experienced have been effectively addressed.
Conduct more user research to determine any new areas of need.
